NBAD Sim League Idea

I was just wondering seeing as we have 3 sim leagues, all three being active but neither is VERY active, why don't we think about a merge between two of the sim leagues or if you all want all 3 of them?

I mean, if we can do that, fire the inactive General Managers, then I'm sure we'll be quite active. What's wrong with having two simmers? I know of a lot of leagues who do that, one of them which has been running for around 2-3 years and has been active.

sim league 2 is active. 3 is going to get their again, league 1 also, it's not dead either it's about average which is great

Yeah, but my point is, neither is amazing in regards to activity and effort.

If we can just merge two of the simleagues or something then maybe it will mean more time for people to spend on one sim league rather than splitting between two, also there'll be two simmers hopefully so when one isnt able to do it then the other can, or they can alternate between seasons. Also, if one commissioner does decide to leave or something then there will be another there still to help out. I think this is a great idea.

i think league 1 has been great. were in the 4th season already. league 2 seems to be doing well, and with league 3 i'd say its too hard to tell the outcome yet, we are only on sim 3.

Its a good idea one reason for all the leagues not being really active is because there is only so many good Gm's and alot of them are not active in all the leagues Tim Allen and Dr J are both really good but neither are in Sim League 3 so it makes it not as good... I really would hate to give up my team in league 1 because they are good and because I have put alot of time into it. But i get what ur saying how all 3 are somewhat active why not Make 1 really good active league with all the best Gms

i deffinetly think league 1 right now should get the bid for a meged league starting off IF we werent going to restart it. like skemp said, were in 4th season and a lot of the GM's have been there since the first so itd be a bitch to throw it all away

IMO we shouldn't force the commissioners to merge, I think their opinion should be the top priority because its their hardwork and everything.

i dont think we should merge...
its not like in the leagues only half the gm's are active, if you have the leagues merge, then a lot of gm's wont have a team anymore.
its good to try and raise activity... but this way feels like having to sacrifice your army to win a war (or something like that)

Well you do have a point, but I don't get the need for 3 whole sim leagues where activity isn't as good as it COULD get.

Like I've said about three times now, by merging people will put more effort into one sim league than two because I'm sure there's a lot of people who have a team in more than one sim league on NBAD.

You do realize that merging two leagues together won't really create a more active league necessarily, considering the fact that a lot of the same GM's are in all 3 leagues or 2 out of the 3 leagues. Yeah you might gain one or two new active GM's, but what about the other 90% of the league that already has a team in the other league? People may focus more on one particular league if there is only 1 that they are apart of, but really, how much time do you really need to invest into a sim league? 30 minutes every 2 days (assuming you sim every second day) and you can accomplish basically everything that you need to.

I understand where you are coming from and this would be a great idea if all 3 leagues had a fairly large discrepancy in GM's, but when the vast majority of each league is made up of the same group of posters, it really won't do much in terms of creating a more active league. At least that is the way that I look at it.

Simulation League.

It's where you act as a General Manager of a team and trade for players etc. and the games are simulated.

Almost like Assosciation mode on NBA 2k10
