I agree with 9/10 artists of that list (maybe swap Run DMC with tallica or bob dylan)

Dunno who the fuck rakim is, im guessing hes some rap fucker so I would swap him with Led Zeppelin or Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan is like teh biggest folk guy ever and his lyrics have been the most critically acclaimed. Zeppelin paved the way for metal and changed the face of music with their musical experimantation.

I'll switch elvis with Beethoven. and new edition did influence boy bands like backstreet boys new kids on the block and nsync. Although it was mainly jackson 5 they were influential. And i did add led zeplin?

Damn, I completely forgot about this guy. Pretty much shaped all reggae music and set the benchmark. It's hard to pick a clear cut 10 in my opinion.

Rakim? He's pretty much the godfather of rap music today. He's influenced pretty much all rappers to this day and age and will continue to. This guy is probably infront of 2Pac in terms of influence. His skills lyrically are near unmatched. He's added another dimensions to rap. Just to prove that he is influenced the ages:

    UBR - Nas

    Raekwon - Rakim Tribute

50 Cent - Hate It Or Love It

They all make mentions to Rakim. Things wouldn't be nearly the same without him today.

Re: 10 most influential bands/musicians ever

It depends who the band/musician is influencing: normal people or other bands/musicians. I don't think Bob Marley influences music as much as other artists mentioned, but he had a huge influence on people in general.

The top 2 in my opinion are Michael Jackson and Jimi Hendrix. Its easy to say two black men because they influenced everyone that's apart of their genre and had influences on cultural diversity. Both are 'the best'.

Name to put in the mix that might not necessarily be top ten are Pink Floyd, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Rage Against the Machine, Eric Clapton, Oasis, Queen, and Ice Cube. and Will smith. suck my dick.

Too much love for Tupac. Ice Cube came around the same time, only difference is he's not dead . If Cube died instead of Tupac, Tupac wouldn't be as popular as he is. Ice Cube started gangster rap. and he has a large penis.
