RealGM: Basketball Wiretap Archives: Biedrins Hurt In Warriors' Loss To Suns

Golden State center Andris Biedrins sprained his right ankle in the team's loss to Phoenix on Friday night.

Biedrins grimaced in pain at the end of the third quarter as he lay on the ground with his ankle held in the air.

"I thought we had a chance to win," Warriors coach Don Nelson said of the 115-105 loss. "But when Goose went down, it really made it difficult for us."

X-rays on Biedrins' ankle came back negative, and he will be re-evaluated on Saturday to determine the severity of the sprain.

Damn, Warriors just can't stay healthy.. Biedrins is our most important player IMO. It's going to be hard to win games with Turiaf being our only big man (who has been playing great as of late). I wonder how long B-Wright is out for Hopefully this means Randolph will FINALLY get minutes.. We're going to need all the help we can get. I guess we'll be seeing stupid smelly Rob "The Curse" Kurz on the floor a bit more he sux.

Lol I was at my mate's house and I had just turned it on to the basketball when I saw Biedrins limping off with trainers. I loled.
Well Turiaf looked great against Shaq in that game so maybe this could a blessing in disguise/the true emergence of Ronny Turiaf?

The Warriors issued a press release Wednesday saying that Brandan Wright (shoulder) is "continuing his rehabilitation and is anticipated to return to advanced basketball skill work after the All-Star break." In other words, he's still at least a couple weeks away from returning, and with the Warriors' roster at full strength, there probably won't be consistent minutes available for Wright upon his return.
