Cuban: Artest May Be Bad For Lakers
I disagree with Mark Cuban, this will be a good signing for the Lakers. Artest and Bryant are already meshing as teammates and they both want to win badly. The disputes between them have occurred because they are both feisty competitors. They don't think badly of one another off the court and they just get too much in the game and get caught up with the fans screaming and the emotion(s). I agree with Cuban, that Artest will bring character to the team and I think it will be positive.Mavericks owner Mark Cuban believes that the acquisition of Ron Artest may be something the Lakers eventually regret."I tell you what, now that they've got Ron Artest, I couldn't think of anything better," Cuban said during an appearance on ESPN 103.3 in Dallas. "If you would have said, what one player -- and I'll get killed over this -- what one player would you like to see on the Lakers? Ron Artest.
"Could you imagine? Ron Artest has got the ball, and Kobe's standing there, 'Throw me the ball.' Thank you, Ron Artest."
The Mavericks will face the Lakers in Los Angeles on Oct. 30.
"I think he'll add some character to that team," Cuban added. "Whether it will be positive or negative will be interesting to see."
