Re: Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis?

I think it will work out great.

Ellis can play the point, whilst Curry plays the two guard. Every player is aware of Ellis' ability to get to the rim. He's going to get doubled more next season and when he drives to the basket, help defense will come. This leaves our shooters Jackson, Azubuike, Morrow, Belinelli and now Curry (whoevers on at the time) open on the wings for Ellis to pass out to if he can't get a good shot near the rim. Morrow led the league in three point shooting percentage, Buike was top 4, Jackson and Belinelli can heat it up from downtown and Curry barley misses (when he was in college anyway).

If Ellis can make the right decisions when he has the ball, he's the perfect point guard for us. He won't need to force anything, he also has Maggette, Biedrins, Ronny(when he isn't shooting mid range jays) and Randolph who can score inside. It wouldn't surprise me if Monta averages 6-8 assists a game next season.

We're sure heading in the right direction. The Crawford trade and now the Curry pick. Great moves by Riley. Now I'd like us to sign a vet big and we have a shot at making the playoffs next season.

Re: Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis?

warriors have monta, curry, morrow, belinelli. we have to get rid of claxton and i have no idea about law.
    theres jackson buike magette
then our big men biedrins randolph turiaf wright davidson
alot of offence, and alot of energy
just found out about our run and gun system, thinking we'd have brandon jennings
jennings and monta woulda made a warriors backcourt
so i guess monta is runnin point like he said just doin the do
monta runs warrior ball and has intense offence
think about our cutters monta, curry, buike, magette, randolph, biedrins, turiaf

hearing about curry he can bomb 3s like morrow, belinelli, jackson

can monta prove that he can play point and get warriors ball started?

warriors intensity basketball is back man

every player on the floor will be a threat offensively and will be runnin and gunnin

    crashin and poppin

its the golden state warriors offence cant stop it

LOL you guys are getting worked up, when in reality the Suns told the Warriors to draft Curry and Curry will be coming to Phoenix. Looks like you guys will get Amare after all.

Re: Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis?

Latest update is Curry won't be involved in the trade (IF it even happens). So we'd be sending Biedrins and 2 busts to the Suns

warriors have to think hard about this. theres also chris bosh. dominates at both sides of end and is under rated. he is longer and plays center better than amare. i think getting chris both would lead is to playoffs, he would shine in warriors. it's sad to even see him in toronto. we should trade belinelli and biedrins for him. raptors would probably like that. they do like players like belinelli probably they would have biedrins than bosh? who knows but warriors got a shot at a bunch of players to choose from

Well Stephen Curry is one of the most gifted offensive players in the draft. He should be able to make an immediate impact. Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry could compliment each other perfectly. The guys got the speed to fit the Warriors system. I don't see how this duo couldn't be good?

He will make immediate impact as long as Nelson doesn't fuck him over and give him shitty minutes. Dudes gonna be a star, I hope Nellie realizes that. I'm not expecting him to start right away for us, but I do think over the course of the season he'll definitely move into to the starting lineup whether it's the one or the two, depending on how Ellis plays the point.

He's a better passer then people think, too. Averaged nearly 6apg if I'm not mistaken. Great court vision, deadly shooter, terrific basketball IQ, loves the up and down style the Warriors play.

I really hope he gets good playing time.

Re: Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis?

Is it really good backourt? On offence it is good becouse they have two diffrent talents. Monta is slasher, getting into paint. Curry will live outside, hittin treys. But they still haven't true point guard that they have needed badly (I don't really belive that Ellis can ever be able to play as playmaker) and I don't know why soembody diddn't wrote it before me: IT WILL BE WORST DEFENSIVE BACKOURT I'VE EVER SEEN. Maybe Udrih and Martin can be other candidates

Re: Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis?

monta and curry also average a great amount of steals. maybe this will help us defensively. i don't know what warriors are up to, but it seems like monta really wants to play point guard. they obviously picked the best scorer in the draft. lets just see what moves they make. warriors also have a great chance of getting stoudemire or bosh.

There is only one worse stat for mesuring defensive ability than steals and it's per 48 stats

Meh, no one complained about the Baron/Ellis backcourt and they are both 6'3. We just need these guys to add some muscle and the defensive problems won't be as bad...
