Pistons work out potential draftees (Jodie Meeks)

The Pistons completed their first week of workouts for draft-eligible players.

George David, director of player personnel for the team, said 20 players worked out, and most were players the Pistons would consider with their three second-round picks.

The workouts were closed to the media, and David would only release 10 names. Of those, only two would be considered for the first-round pick (15th) -- Arizona small forward Chase Budinger and Kentucky shooting guard Jodie Meeks."

I am going to be extremely surprised if Meeks goes at 15. I believe this ruins the chances of Meeks returning next season. Drafting Meeks and playing him behind Richard Hamilton doesn't sound so bad though.
    Fuck you Heat fans.

Jodie must've really and I mean REALLY wowed them in his work out. Most everyone on here know I'm a Kentucky homer, but even I can't justify picking Jodie that high. Thinking about Jodie that high makes me think of Renaldo Balkman.

Balkman had zero offensive game, and nothing going for him but defense.

Meeks has way more than Balkman had going for him. Meeks isn't a bad draftee, I just don't know how to really sum up his case. He shouldn't be taken till after the 20th pick though.

I wasn't really comparing their games, just saying Balkman was taken sooner than his abilities justified. Which is the same thing that will happen to Meeks if they draft him that high.

I think there is ZERO chance of Jodie Meeks going to number 15. I have looked at a countless number of mocks and such and the highest I have ever seen Jodie drafted was 54th, if the Pistons took him at number 15 I would be absolutely and utterly shocked.

Oh yeah, Meeks has a bit more polishing he needs. One more season would do him a lot of good, he may not shine as much, but his skill range will be on display more in the DDM.

He just needs to work. If he can go at 15, I'll be happy for him, all I'm gonna comment on that. I pity the team that takes him early. I'll feel sorry for Jodie because he'll be playing D-League games in some barn, when he could be shining at the biggest basketball stage known to fans.

Detroit will take Terrance Williams with the 15th pick. But they have 3 second round picks so if Meeks is still around he could still end up in Detroit.

Why would they pick up two three point based guards? Every time they've played this season, Meeks has outplayed him.

Joe D likes him, and he has played with Stuckey in the past in Seattle so there is already a connection and Detroit is supposed to go after Marvin Williams this offseason who also played with T-Will and Stuck

Meeks should be picked well before the second round, I see him a top 30 pick first round.
If he does get picked second round I think he'll go to another team either then Pistons.

A lot of teams have interest in him, Suns, Bucks, Wizards, Pistons, just to name a few.
