    Re: 2010 Mock Draft

That's a very early attempt. The only thing DraftExpress has gotten right there is the #1 pick. Everybody else is moveable to 15-20 spots at the moment. Also the fact that Wes Johnson of Syracuse and Motiejunas from Lithuania are missing from the top 5 at the moment tells me that this is far from being a complete mock draft.

There's more to say, but I don't think it's really relevant until there's a better version of this particular mock.

Agreed. But the standings are pretty accurate for what they will look like at the end of the season

    Not really.

Sanders, Monroe and Robinson are sure to slip. Sanders can't do anything without Maynor, Monroe is offensively challenged despite that area of his game being his 'strongest' and Robinson will be ousted because he's nothing more than an energy player and not many teams want that as their lottery pick.

Singler has been excellent for Duke and really proven he can be a consistent first option, Henry has also been excellent for Kansas and should go higher than #19; Collins isn't going in the first round, and neither is Lee is he enters this draft which I don't think he will. As good as Gates is looking for Cincy right now, he likely wont go until the second round and I think Lawal will probably follow suit.

Of the projectec second rounders, as much as I don't like him, Stevenson is a phenomenal talent and will go in the first round no matter what. Ditto for Deon Thompson who's carrying UNC right now with 17.3 points and 8.3 boards. Butler and Harangody should go higher especially Harangody who's completely transformed himself last season and this season into an NBA prospect and not just an NCAA player. Oh and Bouldin from the Zags has good size and strength as a point guard to be able to sneak into the first round somewhere.

Feel free to try prove me wrong though.

    Re: 2010 Mock Draft

Na that's an excellent point, Henry is really talented and will be a low lotto pick. Though i think Sanders will slip a bit, shouldn't be enough to really take him out of the lottery

What are your thoughts on Singler at the next level? He may turn out to be a decent role player, but I don't think I can see him as a starter for even a mediocre NBA team. He's much to thin to be an NBA 4, and I don't think he's athletic enough to matchup against an NBA SF. I just can't see him contributing much at the next level.

At the next level.. hmm, it's tricky with Singler. On the one hand, he's not as successful an NCAA player as Adam Morrison was and we can see how his career panned out, but on the other hand, Singler has this Detlef Schrempf vibe about him. I hate to use pre-historic comparisons. He may not be the inside player that Shrempf was and definitely doesn't have the same ugly jumpshot, but their games are similar and Schrempf made it work for himself for a long time. That's being optimistic, though.

On a realistic level, Singler needs his senior year at Duke, in my honest opinion. Following that, I think he'll go late lottery or early first round depending on how much 'potential' these scouts see in him (as if they're right all the time). Production wise, he could be a 12 point per game scorer at most in my opinion. His ability to hit three balls is a desirably trait and it becomes even more desriable when that same player is able to stretch the floor. Come to think of it, he'd fit in perfectly with the Magic, heh.

Motiejunas is going #2-#4 IMO. Patterson will probably go in that #8-#10 region.

NBA standings as in the NBA teams not the rookies. Clear.

You are right about Motiejunas. Though Toronto would be pretty good for him, Warren is a bit too high from what i heard about him, 10-12

Patterson is realistic. I just don't see the Warriors drafting him, and I hope for his sake that they don't. Standings will change and everything, I just wanna see Patterson go to a place he won't be in a complete mess.

I've read your posts, and I understand that you are speaking english, but I have no idea what you're saying. NBA standing as in NBA teams? Huh? I'm seriously not getting it.

Warren is #2-#5 depending on how far he gets Oklahoma. His skillset is in that region and scouting coaches love leadership. He would really be looked upon highly carrying Oklahoma into the tournament and maybe into the second round without Griffin there anymore.

    Re: 2010 Mock Draft

I think it's funny that two freshmen are at the top two positions as the future of two franchises on this list. And what's scary is that it's realistic. Those two kids have boatloads of potential and just as much or more talent. Too bad Georgia Tech has a more lacking supporting cast, even though it's not bad. And Kentucky is Kentucky. They kick ass.
